We often reproduce knowledge penned by European travelers written about our lands yet in those books of European travelers the prime sources are local writings of pre-colonial times. Do we know about those local sources?

It is important to deconstruct colonial knowledge, search for various non-colonial sources of knowledge regarding our region so that future generations can develop alternative narrative. I presented some extracts of a chapter of my unpublished trilogy   and this chapter is based on information penned by various European and American travelers like Charles von Hügel, Morecraft, Jecy mont, Alexander BurnesCol. SteinbackAlexander Gardner etc. All were on different missions and all had ability to learn languages, drawing maps and recording socio-political information. It was not age of google earth or Facebook so their information was important in making policies.
