Punjab politics & some vital misconceptions

( A series of articles)

It is a series of articles to understand the Punjab and its surroundings regarding political struggle, movements and resistance. History written under either Nation State nationalisms (Indian, Pakistani, Bangladeshi, Irani or Afghanistan based national narratives) or nationality based nationalisms (like Sindhi, Pukhtoon, Bengali, Baloch etc) as well as religion base nationalisms (Hindu, Sikh, Muslim base national narratives) are largely flawed and dependent on selective approach. Pakistani State inherited many misleading narratives (colonial as well as anti colonial) in 1947 and that were linked with centralism largely. Rejection of diversity and selective approach were common in all narratives yet few people tried to explore new lines too. Let us read about the Punjab and it may help you to explore history and politics of other areas too.
