Forgotten past: When #Germans were forced to change their names by so-called champions of #Democracy just 100 years back. Remember it was part of #AntiGerman mind set designed in last decade of 19th century, #Britain & #France were leaders while #US & #Russia were partners in arms.

In line with a proposal put forward by the British in September, 1869, the northern frontier of Afghanistan was fixed on the Amu Darya from Lake Zor Kōl. They first fixed Afghan border from Amu (Oxus) and then annexed Qandhar and Kabul in 1880 and finally made Durand Line and made #Afghanistan an independent country like Nepal but did not include it in #BritishIndia.
