(Common Talk)
Muhammad Akram is from a village near Dinna, district Jehlum and spent his life in Saudi Arabia too. his small rather common talk may interest you to understand ground realities.
Name of his village is bagaan, later became Kalwant pur. He was born around 1947 in Junjua Rajput family. His village is at 7 miles from Dinna. He studied in a govt primary school inside Rohtas fort that was at two miles distance from his village. it shows that getting education was very difficult at that time. He said, ''In 6th i joined Islamia high school Jehlum where my uncle (mother's brother) was teacher'', i studied till class 10th''. He did his matriculation in 1963 and later on came to Lhore. His both uncles were in Jamat e Islami. Along with various jobs he completed his studies privately. His story will tell you state of governance, situation of jobs, association with a religious ideological group etc during late 1960s till mid 1970s. This common talk will give you an idea what was ground situation and its effects on youth before 1980s. At early 1970s, it was a time when due to policies of Bhutto government there was an opening in middle east especially in Saudi Arab. It altogether changed the State & society. He went to KSA in late 1970s and lived there for almost three decades. He admitted that things for immigrants are changing since last decade. It was a common practice that you got Aqama (work Permit) for a particular job but you were free to change nature of job but now it is not possible. How immigrants faced difficulties in other countries and back home is still an unheard story. But you may understand it by listening M Akram story well. How it effected families is also a story which needs little attention. After spending prime time abroad he admitted that what you can do in your own country is much better and productive.
