Pakistan under multiple threats

Pakistan under multiple threats
No matter who did wrong, no matter who played below the belt, no matter who won at eastern front, no matter who will win at western front, no matter who is arrested at abroad but pressure is on the State of Pakistan and it is increasing day by day. It changes its faces and phases along with the colours yet a consistence and constant pressure is there especially after successful first historic democratic transition. The game started from the return of Musharaf yet now it is gaining momentum. Different players are playing their roles yet some are ready to jump in soon. Signing of Sino-Russian joint Gas pipeline and lifting of Embargo on Weapons Sales to Pakistan already deepened the fears. It is 2014 and agenda for 21st century is in making. As usual powerful countries will try their best to snatch lion’s share for them. It is time of making and breaking alliances. Every country, big or small, large or tiny is not ready to share her cards with any one. It is a game of nerves which needs peace & patience. But in Pakistan some forces are not ready to think ahead of their noses. The biggest media group is under attack, negotiations with Taliban have lost its appeal and now after the arrest of Altaf Hussain in London pressure is increasing in Karachi. Everyone has an eye on post Altaf MQM vote bank. Replacement of Altaf Hussain in Karachi & half Hyderabad is a concern not only for establishment but for the political actors. Keeping in complex situation of Pakistan It is not a time to settle scores. But Karachi is closed from 36 hours which is a bad taste. Karachi's situation can add oil in fire. On the one hand MQM leadership has no reservations on British legal system but strangely fall out is in Pakistan. From last 36 hours, there is not any sit-in or Dahrna in London. Is there any external pressure on MQM to seal the coastal city?  It may expose in some days. But Pakistan is in between many complex scenarios these days.

It is a time of consensus on all fronts through parliament. Either someone like it or not but crux of the matter is a fact that parliament is the only decent weapon to deal sharp and big countries. Pakistan has a history to serve big powers and in final analysis State of Pakistan has not only earned bad name but also failed to ensure quality of life for its people. It create trust deficit between State institutions and public at large and that gulf has been often used smartly in numerous ways. Instead of joining any future stick and carrot show political elite should consume its energies in developing a consensus with all stakeholders.
