Is it a fall out of joining the Pro-US camp? Is BJP calling shorts in order to praise RSS stand in favor of Nathuram Vinayak Godse (19 May 1910 – 15 November 1949), the sole assassin of Mahatma Gandhi? or Both is a question. But they failed to understand that this news will attract supporters of rising LGBT towards Mahatma. By & large, in nationalism we have to develop Heroes & villains and like gods of homer a Hero must be flawless and follower of prevalent customs while villain must be a negative one. If we portray our leaders as normal human beings with some extra vision we will not worry with such news. As there are sever restrictions against lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender(LGBT) people in orthodox Hindu Law so such news will have opposite effect in US and India.
