A discussion regarding role of Sweepers & their condition who are fighting at front line in Anti Corona campaign. The program is a series in which we will try to map position of disadvantage classes & communities who needs immediate attention. Do we realize that how important is the role of sweepers? not only during Corona issue but also in normal situations.
In this program we have invited Aziz Maseh who as a sanitary worker witnessed to many shortcomings of the sweeper community. The other guest was Sabiha Shaheen a social activist & Executive Director of a civil society organization BARGAD. They have launch an initiative at social media Our Sweepers Our Heroes, doing relief work and ready to raise voice of marginalized people. There were three callers on the telephone who threw ample light on policy issues and also talk about ground situation. Tahira Habib works at Human Rights Commission of Pakistan and have an eye on entrench issues of the State and in the discussion she had raised policy issues rightly. The other two callers were Rabia Dar & Usman Akhtar who wisely mentioned ground situation.

لاک ڈاؤن نے پرفارمنگ آرٹس سے منسلک فنکار، اداکار، صداکار اور اس شعبے سے وابستہ معاونین (میک اپ مین، پریس مین، ٹی بوائے وغیرہ) یا سپورٹ اسٹاف کے طور پر کام کرنے والے افراد کی زندگیوں کو مزید متاثر کردیا ہے کہ جن کی زندگی تو پہلے بھی کوئی بہت اچھی نہیں گزر رہی تھی۔
