A Case of Religious political Parties
Why religious political parties failed to get people’s
attention? Recent statements by two leaders of major political parties raised a
debate yet even a layman or student of history knew that people of Pakistan
never ever give votes to these parties. From the failures of Khilafat or hijrat
movement s, consistent support of All India Congress , opposition of Pakistan
movement, till 1970 and 2013 elections there is a history of gradual trust
deficit. Even religious people chose PPP, PML Nawaz or PTI instead of religious
political parties. The situation is not restricted to these political parties
but people of Pakistan never give their support to religious political parties
of other Muslim school of thoughts. Here we r reproducing an old issue which
shows how religious political parties used religion for their self interests. Read

منور حسن اور مولانا فصل الرحمن کے بیانات کے بعد اک پرانا قصہ یاد آگیا جو ہمارے مذہبی سیاستدانوں کی گرتی ہوی ”ساکھ” کو سمجھنے میں مدد دے گا.
مذہب کو سیاست کے طابع رہنا چاہیے یا سیاست کو مذہب کے طابع ہونا چاہیے یا پھر ان انتہاؤں کے بجائے درمیانہ راستہ اپنانا چاہیے؟
یہ بحث عرصہ دراز سے جاری ہے، اسی حوالے سے یہاں میں پاکستانی سیاسی تاریخ کے دو اہم واقعات کا تزکرہ کرنا چاہتا ہوں کہ جب دو اہم مذہبی سیاسی جماعتوں نے ایک ہی مسئلہ پر مختلف ادوار میں سیاسی ترجیحات کے تحت مذہب کو اپنے سیاسی مفادات کے لیے دو مختلف طریقوں سے استعمال کیا۔
یہ مسئلہ تھا “عورت کی حکمرانی” کہ جس پر بہت کچھ لکھا جاچکا ہے مگر یہ مسئلہ بہت ٹیڑھا ہے، دفتروں کے دفتر لکھے جا چکے ہیں مگر یہ ٹیڑھا کا ٹیڑھا ہی ہے کیونکہ اس کی بنیادیں مذہب سے زیادہ “منفی سماجی روایات” میں گڑی ہوئی ہیں۔
