A column about Bapsi Sidhwa , our common Parsi Past in Literature
A column about Bapsi Sidhwa , our common Parsi Past
the columnist mentions a statement of Bapsi yet it was intizar Hussein's statement i think so. Pakistani parses r living not only in Karachi but in Lhore and Bapsi is also among Punjabi parses and The Crow Eater story is also about Lhore 1921. regarding mentioning of parses in literature , no one mentions Tilsam e Hoshruba? its very strange. i converted first two volumes of T.H in easy urdu in which i found many sentences regarding Gabbars. interestingly, Both Amier hamza and his rival Afrasyab were against Gabbars in the story. when i recheck the word Gabbar, it was also mentioned that they were Atish-Parast yet against magic. a sweet parse lady in Lhore confirmed it as a parallel word for parses. Still i am searching about it yet Punjabi word Gabbro means strong & Bold also reminds us regarding our ancient valuable Parse past. although we had common past with parses from ancient times as mentioned in littérateur regarding Achaemenid Empire & Arsacid Empire B.C
Bulgh was there centre while khurasan, Punjab and Kashmir were included in it. anyway, read the column
