Basant is a centuries old people's festival of the Punjab yet it was banned 15 years back and to discuss this issue we have invited Nasir Shafi of Lhore who is associated with Rana Kite Flying family. He not only explained details of craft and science associated with it but also talk about court issue, media role and its solution. Kite Flying is not only a festival but it is a craft, a science, business & exercise too. Other then technical details it is revealed that Court did not ban Basant but had ordered than Punjab government of Pervaiz Ellahi to regularized it. The real issue behind it was a sharp unbreakable string that killed & injured people. But after 15 years our high minds failed to resolve it. There is a politics behind it and various groups, media and many insiders played their role intentionally or without knowing. Listen the show and rethink what is still missing in it.
