Japnes Vs British Army.......

analysis of a Punjabi soilder cum revolutionary

A peice written by comrade Major Ishaq in his Burma campign account " Shutar Gamzahy" which shares growth of numerous socio-political conflicts in the minds of young recruits. According to Allama Iqbal, mainly Punjabis while some Pukhtoons covered 62% recruitment in British Indian Army till 1930. After 1939, there was a massive recruitment of Punjabis in Royal Indian Army during WW11. Now there percentage was not less then 75% yet new recruits had their own tradtions intect because they did not get any long training sessions neither spent long intervals with their seniors. The emergence of Young Turks (as adviced by Field Marshal Sir Claude John Eyre Auchinleck, to Gracy) in British Indian Army and defections under the banner of INA of Subhas Chandar Bose can be analyzed with respect to massive, unplanned and hasety recruitments which decontructed deciplenary traditions at a very crucial point. Major Ishaq account also remind us the difference between both armies. read and enjoy, u will not find such writings in post war records.
i published this book fron Newline and now u can visit Readings website for order
