Cvil Society & Political Workers
Lok Lhar Weekly Program Only at Mast FM103 every Monday from

Recorded 25 January, 2016 @ Lhor
Why political workers are at back benches? Is it due to
Civil Society? Or is it due to bad policies of political parties? What is the
relationship between them? Listen a story of an old PPP worker Ayaz Khan and
try to understand how one can find Newline in politics.
Politics is overloaded with money-money relationship and now
money is the leading factor in our different sections of society since Zia
times. Media, NGOs, Lawyers and Private education all are entangled in
money-money relationship yet due to presence of some old political workers you
can find some deviations in it too.
Ayaz khan will explain why PPP lost gradually in the Punjab
and How smartly politics changed in the Punjab since Zia times? Who were the
new interest groups emerged after unannounced & unregulated privatization? Why
Exponents’ of the interest groups remain reluctant to join PPP? Why PPP throughout
late 1980s and 1990s remained aloof to acknowledge those new interests as par
their own policies? BB tried to address it since her first government by
developing STN, liberalization of Media and introduction of IPPs yet policy was
missing and the party was divided regarding privatization and regulation. Can
Civil Society bridge this gape? Listen and unlearn
