Let us Rethink about Pakistan
Society & People are tolerant yet State & Elite should learn from people of Pakistan
A Survey of WVS
Normally we don't want to listen such arguments because it hits to preconceive notions associated with Pakistan. But it is not the first time we heard it. Those who have read Pakistan: A hard country by Anatole Levine knew about the resilience of Pakistanis. The survey in many ways strengthen the perspective , many of us don't want to listen. "Anatole Li even's book is a magisterial investigation of this highly complex and often poorly understood country." I reviewed the book in The News on Sunday 15-05-2011 but unfortunately its link is not working yet its entry is there at my Blog Punjab Punch June 17, 2011. The book was largely ignored by those who are unable to segregate People from the State or Elite.
Although the elite in many countries has been exposed after Offshore syndrome yet if State shows her balls it can handle it in the interest of people. But where State followed colonial policies in which people are called Subject , how can one expect any good?

we treat this data as indicative of racial tolerance, then we might conclude that people in the bluer countries are the least likely to express racist attitudes, while the people in red countries are the most likely.
